Remembrance day

Every year, on the 4th of May, the Dutch remember the victims of World War II with 2 minutes of silence at 8PM: a moment to think things over, before the celebrations of Liberation Day (May 5).

The silence is not complete, but that doesn't matter. Birds sing on, a plane passes overhead, a car driver forgets it... but it is quiet enough to find the silence in yourself and let your thoughts travel to wherever you feel the need.

The theme of 2000: Freedom is something to pass on. More attention to freedom which is not always a matter of course.
